We visited the puppies last night...they're 7 weeks old today and almost ready to take home. Our guess is that 12/22 (Sat) is the day we'll bring little Emily home. The list of pups we're interested in has been created and now need to prioritize and then send it to Kris (the breeder). Prioritizing is tough as the pups are all so cute and I don't want to seem picky. And, it's sad to think of separating these little guys from one another as they have so much fun together.
Kris is keeping one of the puppies and it's nice to know that when we return for the 12 and 16 week immunizations, our pup will get to play with a littermate, it's Mom, and the two other dogs (Maizey and Melody) that Kris and Daren have.
We expect to know exactly which pup will become Emily by next weekend and then bring home a little live creature to. Sometimes I feel silly, as we seem like it's a human baby or something. But then, I let that go...we're excited and it's great to share that excitement.
